Bold Self is about helping you wake up. It’s about self-love and self-acceptance; self-discovery and self-actualization; self-empowerment and self-improvement. It’s about figuring out exactly what your ideal life looks like, and then making it happen, the way you deserve. It’s about getting rid of toxic relationships and toxic habits and putting yourself on a path where you can explore and blossom into the ultimate version of yourself.

Bold Self is a place for strength, peace, and redirection. For knowledge, inspiration, and motivation.

tempright1howithappenedHi, I’m Chiara Mazzucco. I started blogging in 2011. ChiaraSays was a dating and relationship advice blog where every post dished out brutally honest advice in an effort to help readers focus on the root of their unhappiness, rather than trying to fix a relationship with bandaids and lingerie. It grew quickly and at the end of 2011, I published The 9 Mirages of Love: How to Stop Chasing What Doesn’t Exist.

As the site grew, I realized a lot of my advice was focused on a core concept of self and the need to look within for strength and answers. In 2012, I launched a women’s online magazine called The Indie Chicks. Within months, we were featuring some of the most talented writers on the web and seeing exponential growth in our social media presence. There was a need for self-empowerment.

In 2014, we released the first print version of Indie Chick magazine, and we were quickly picked up for national distribution for Barnes & Noble and other bookstores across the country. We were even in Australia!

When we finally decided to shut the magazine down in February of 2016, I felt it was time for my next chapter. My need to write and the love I have for helping others consumed me, and so in April 2016, Bold Self was born.

I have been writing about self-empowerment and self-help from the moment I first hit publish 5 years ago. This is what I love to do and therefore, I will continue to do it.

Bold Self is a tool for those craving to be inspired and motivated to discover and empower themselves. It is the fuel to catapult them into transformation and self-actualization.

Does Bold Self accept guest posts?

Glad you asked! The short answer is yes, I do accept guest submissions. However, in an effort to provide Bold Self readers with focused, high quality content, I’m a bit picky with what I do accept.

  • Your post should fit nicely in one of my existing categories.
  • No promotional/ spam submissions
  • Only one body link and one bio link + 1 social link
  • Usually between 500-900 words, unless we discuss a series
  • Most importantly, your post should help my readers in some way.

If you’d like to submit a piece, send me an email with a short pitch. If the topic is relevant and I think would benefit my readers, I will gladly accept!

Does Bold Self accept Sponsored Posts and Paid Reviews?

Only if the product/content is relevant to my demographic and brand. The post will always be written honestly, and in my voice, with a blunt disclaimer that it was paid promotion. All links in paid content are nofollow links.

If you’re interested in working with me, please email me directly.
